ELAP has over 130 volunteer attorneys, a staff attorney and a paralegal to provide civil legal aid services.
In 2009 ELAP celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Since opening our doors we have served over 50,000 low-income residents of King County. The need for civil legal aid today is even greater than 20 years ago. We stand ready to meet this need.
Join our distinguished host committee on Thursday, May 24th, 2012, for the ELAP Breakfast for Justice and help support legal services for survivors of domestic violence and low income families.

The Power of Pro Bono Work to Effect Positive Change
Working with co-counsel from Bet Tzedek, a volunteer legal services program, Bob Nicksin and a team of O'Melveny attorneys won a jury award and judgments of over $2 million for their pro bono client Suminarti Yusuf, a victim of human trafficking. After being falsely imprisoned and made to work as a domestic servant 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, without pay, Yusuf found justice with the help of her team of legal volunteers.
