The ELAP team got our hands dirty and spent an awesome day volunteering at Solid Ground’s Giving Garden at historic Marra Farm in South Park earlier this summer.
The Giving Garden helps fight food insecurity in our region by growing fresh, nutritious produce directly for low-income families and individuals. We loved spending the day out in the soil, helping cultivate food that will nourish our neighbors.
One of the absolute best parts of nonprofit work is building strong partnerships like this. So often, our organizations are serving the very same individuals and families from different angles—whether that’s providing free legal aid to keep a family housed or ensuring they have healthy food on the table.
