We’re excited to announce two new ELAP staffers have joined our team!

Bethany Fisher, JD, (she/her) has been hired as a Domestic Violence Staff Attorney. ELAP’s Domestic Violence Legal Program provides legal services to domestic violence survivors throughout King County. Our DV attorneys provide critical legal advice, obtain protection orders, represent clients in court, do safety planning, and much more.
Bethany previously worked as a family law attorney at Akiona Law in Everett and as a law clerk at the Massachusetts Trial Courts in Boston. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and holds a bachelor of fine arts from West Virginia University. Bethany has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Dick Thornburgh Prize for Legal Service.

Hannah Wang (they/them and she/her) is ELAP’s new Legal Assistant. In this role, Hannah will support the entire legal team and assist with preparing pleadings, filing court documents, doing legal research, reviewing records, client scheduling, and coordinating workshops, CLEs, and other presentations.
They worked as a research and policy intern at the Office on Trafficking in Persons in Washington D.C. and was a summer fellow at the Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project in Philadelphia. Hannah holds a master’s in social work from Columbia School of Social Work and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
