LifeWire, a nonprofit working to end domestic violence in King County, presented an award to Rochelle Krebs, ELAP Domestic Violence Staff Attorney, and Jerry Kroon, Executive Director, at the organization’s 2021 Gala last month.
In recognition of ELAP’s work with survivors of domestic violence, Rochelle and Jerry received the prestigious 2021 Norm Maleng Award.

ELAP partners with LifeWire to provide clients who are experiencing domestic violence access to legal help and resources. LifeWire taped their award presentation in a kitchen as a reminder that it can be one of the most dangerous rooms in the house for someone experiencing violence by an intimate partner or family member.
