Matthew Widmyer, an attorney with Davis Wright Tremaine, started volunteering at ELAP’s wills clinics at the start of the pandemic in 2020—just as ELAP’s clinics had to be quickly transitioned to a virtual format.
Matthew has volunteered at every wills clinic since then, serving as a pro bono attorney to help people create wills, powers of attorney, and other legal documents. He’s also helped ELAP staff update client forms and streamline the clinic process to make things run more efficiently.
Last year he furthered his commitment by joining our Board of Directors and is serving as ELAP’s board vice president for 2024.
“ELAP makes it easy to volunteer and to be a part of the work,” Matthew says.
