Here are some bills worth watching:
- SB 5169 seeks to reduce trauma experienced by children who witness violent crimes by sparing them from testifying in the courtroom. (Passed Senate, pending in House committee)
- SB 5362 and HB 1487 would stabilize funding for crime victim services. (Pending in committees)
- HB 2266 and SB 6069 encourages permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, indoor emergency housing, and indoor emergency shelters. It also restricts local governments from preventing the development of housing. (Pending in committees)
- HB 1099 would create a tenant assistance program. (Pending in House committee)
- HB 2489 would prevent local governments from enforcing laws that criminalize homelessness if adequate and accessible shelter is not available. (Pending in House committee)
